CURRICULUM FOR COMMUNITY LEARNING FACILITATION
Second Result
The purpose of this output is to develop the necessary materials to deliver training both to community learning facilitators and adult from the local community. The innovative character stands thus in a bidimensional approach, allowing the creating of an integrated approach that meets both the needs of the individuals and adult learning workforce. In terms of the adult learning practitioners, the training programmes represents one of the two alternative professionalization pathways developed within the project. It is addressed both to facilitators less experienced who wish to start a career in the field, as well as to those who need to have their competences improved.
The second dimension of the project is addressing the disadvantaged learners from the local communities, coagulating the efforts to enhance access to educational opportunities, to bring learning within reachable distances and to help them overcome barriers towards learning and improve their skills. The curriculum (seen as "a citizens" curriculum) will encompass training activities for the areas and needs that may arise to adults from a disadvantaged community, including basic skills, learning to learn, civic competences, entrepreneurship etc.
On the other hand, the competence validation component represents an alternative pathway for the professionalisation of community learning facilitators. The validation toolkit will consist in package with validation instruments and will create a framework for the documentation and evaluation of competences for community learning facilitators.
